This lovely rural mansion near the Malabar shoreline was built in the 1800s by an English cinnamon trader, and the countryside around it is still dedicated to spice-growing and agriculture.
There are only five guestrooms, each with their original polished wooden floors. Decor is simple but comfortable, and there's plenty of outdoor spaces to relax and drink in the aromatic atmosphere or swim in the stone-walled swimming pool a stone's throw from miles of untainted Keralan beach.
Leisure: Garden swimming pool, cookery classes
Rooms: 5 rooms
