Six Senses Uluwatu
Uluwatu | Super Deluxe
A beautifully designed resort with excellent facilities that suits couples and families alike, the Six Senses Uluwatu sits high on the cliffs of Bali’s beautiful south coast.
From the sunsets to the spa, the sea views to the cliff-side restaurants, Six Senses Uluwatu invites you to unwind. Its atmosphere of understated luxury and its friendly staff help you relax from the get-go, and benefits aren’t confined to guests – the resort has an excellent record on sustainability and social responsibility, with staff employed from local communities.
The resort has been designed to max-out on the ocean views. Each of the 75 villas and 28 sky suites and penthouses overlook the Indian Ocean. Almost all the guest accommodation has its own pool, too, and even the most modest suites have a private deck and an ocean facing bathtub. The accommodation is as stylish as you’d expect from this super deluxe resort, an understated mix of stone floors, rattan rugs, white walls and simple bespoke furniture. For families, extra beds and interconnecting rooms are available, and each room’s Guest Experience Maker will be happy to help organise activities for children.
All tastes are catered for in the resort’s four restaurants. Booster juices, super smoothies and breakfast favourites from Bali and beyond kick start your day, while satays and salads, served with a panoramic view of the sea, make a great lunch. In the evening, head into one of the wooden-clad, softly lit restaurants serving Japanese fusion or freshly caught seafood. There’s also a bar where quirky cocktails are mixed using ingredients from the resort’s organic garden.
The three swimming pools form the heart of the resort and create a patchwork of cool water, dropping down the cliffs and culminating in a dramatic infinity pool overlooking the ocean. There is a spa offering Balinese treatments and full wellness programs, and a fitness centre. Children are welcome and in addition to the kids’ pool, there are films in the outdoor cinema (popcorn included), organic garden tours, yoga and cooking classes to keep youngsters entertained.
A resort that is family friendly, environmentally responsible and offers understated luxury in a fabulous clifftop location – what’s not to like?
