Seavana Beach Resort
Koh Mak | First Class
The sleepy island of Koh Mak isn’t short of beautiful beaches and it’s hard to pick the prettiest, but Ao Suan Yai on the north west coast, with its pristine sands and renowned sunsets, is certainly a contender. Only three resorts currently share this enviable 3km stretch of sand: one of which is the Seavana Beach Resort.
Accommodation is more contemporary in style than most of the island’s rustic bungalows. Choose from one of the spacious beach front suites or a room in one of the two-storey villas; either way you’ll have a terrace with a sea view and are never far from the sand (60 steps maximum!)
If you can drag yourself away from your hammock on the beach or poolside lounger, take to the water on a kayak or with snorkelling equipment, or enjoy a traditional Thai massage at the small open-air spa. The beachfront restaurant offers a reasonably priced menu of Thai and international cuisine; alternatively there are a handful of small local eateries within strolling distance.
We SaySeavana is family owned and operated and it shows: staff appear to take genuine pleasure in the happiness of each guest, with nothing too much trouble.
