Koh Munnork Island Resort

3 hours from Bangkok

Despite being just a 45-minute boat ride from Rayong, Koh Munnork somehow manages to hold onto its ‘secret’ status. You won’t find full-moon raves here, just peaceful sunsets and panoramic views over the Gulf of Thailand. Bungalows are dotted tastefully around the island offering views of the lush green gardens, beachfront or surrounding ocean, and boasting either a private terrace or balcony. The decor is simple and rustic, using locally sourced wood and bamboo for its structure in keeping with the island's natural setting, and maintaining its castaway feel.

The resort is committed to reducing its carbon footprint, so the use of electricity and water is kept to a minimum (don’t worry, air-con is provided!) If you’re traveling with the kids there’s a large family bungalow with adjacent rooms that gives you plenty of space to relax and hang out. Prepare yourself for tranquility, set your gadgets aside, and immerse yourself in the natural beauty that encircles the resort.

Location

Accessible only by the resort's private boat, and just a 3-hour journey from bustling Bangkok, Koh Munnork is the only private island beach resort in Thailand.
