South Korea weather & when to go: October
October is the month that the glorious colours of autumn come into full view. It is one of the best months of the year to appreciate South Korea's beautiful landscapes and relax on its beaches.
October's weather in detail
The high levels of humidity and oppressive, muggy air of summer are now a thing of the past, as are the torrential rains. In their place is a dry climate that offers blue skies, sunny days and comfortable temperatures ranging from 15°C in the north and at altitude, to 26°C in the southern regions.
October weather is ideal for exploring South Korea’s great outdoors and the picturesque temples such as Beopjusa, in Songnisan NP, can be seen against a backdrop of russet reds and vibrant oranges. In the more mountainous National Parks it can feel a little chilly once the sun has set, so make sure you have packed extra layers for the evening.
