Capella Ubud

Ubud, Bali

Elegantly camouflaged within Bali’s dense rainforest, the lavish tented camp at Capella Ubud is the peak of wilderness splendour. Flawlessly designed by renowned architect Bill Bensley, each tent brings a feeling of complete seclusion, whether under the trees, beside the river or high in the canopy. The spacious interiors are divided into cosy sleeping quarters, luxuriant bathrooms and airy lounges. Canvas walls fold away to take you out onto wide verandahs, sheltered under overhanging umbrella-like roofs. Steep steps lead down to private pools on shady terraces.

The camp is adorned with traditional Balinese carvings and wall hangings that bring richness and culture to the interiors, with antique details enhancing the feeling of old-world elegance. The lush rainforest surroundings are highlighted in everything from the open-sided restaurant cabana, with panoramic jungle greenery, to the al-fresco campfire lounge. This is so much more than a standard campsite dwelling - luscious jungle meets high glamour in true sustainable style, with extra ‘wow’ factor.

Location

Nestled in Bali’s beautiful rainforest, Capella Ubud is surrounded by tranquility. Located just a 20-minute drive from the centre of Ubud, complimentary return transfers are provided on the camp’s schedule.

Escape to the jungle

Feel a world away from it all, tucked away amongst the towering trees, pampering yourself with indulgent spa treatments and enjoy food you simply can’t say no to. Jump into the resort’s transfer vehicle, or a tuk tuk if you prefer, and head into the cultural heart of Bali: Ubud. Meander through cobbled streets and browse local markets and plethora of independent eateries (Warung Babi Guling is an absolute must), and brave the beautiful Monkey Forest for up-close encounters with nature. Your stay at Capella Ubud is an experience in itself, so we’d suggest a good few nights here to allow plenty of time to soak up the magic.
