The Siam

Bangkok

Amidst the chaos of Bangkok and its plethora of international high-rise hotels, the Siam Bangkok is a serene, boutique gem that radiates old-school glamour. Designed by acclaimed architect Bill Bensley, this urban retreat successfully fuses traditional Thai style with art deco design. Its riverfront location is accessible via the hotel’s private speedboat service: just a 25-minute journey upstream from the city’s central pier.

The suites and villas are incredibly spacious and exude elegant luxury. Original artwork and Thai antiques sit beside flat screen TVs, and a personal butler is on hand to attend to your every need. The Riverview Suites enjoy stunning uninterrupted views over the Chao Phraya River, but for the ultimate in luxury and privacy upgrade to one of the ten Pool Villas. Peruse the antiques dotted around the hotel and let the jazz tunes coming from the Deco bar set the mood. It’s safe to say this hotel offers plenty of panache.

Location

Situated on the Bangkok side of the Chao Phraya River, in a stunning riverside setting, the Siam is around 30 minute drive from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and in a prime location for visiting the city’s sights.

From a client…

Pure opulence, but in a down to earth way. It didn’t feel pretentious at all.

Why we love it

Discover what to expect from staying at The Siam

City experience

The Siam is not just another stopover hotel, it’s an experience in itself. There’s a 3 night minimum stay, but for good reason, allowing you to soak up the grandeur and experience everything that’s on offer (which is a lot!) The location is ideal for exploring the temples, museums and wonders of Bangkok before heading back to your exclusive villa for complete relaxation with a cocktail or two, delivered by your friendly and attentive personal butler. Forget 3 nights, we think you’ll need 7!

What can you do there?

When it comes to hotel ‘firsts’, The Siam boasts the city’s only hotel screening room (complete with retro velvet cinema seats!) and its own Muay Thai boxing ring where you can sign up for a Thai boxing lesson. For more relaxing pursuits, pampering and indulgence, there’s a riverfront infinity pool, hammam-inspired bath house and heavenly spa. When it comes to dining, choose from an international menu in the art deco inspired bar and bistro (breakfast is well worth getting up for) and enjoy the sunset river views and local specialities at the Chon Thai Restaurant. Don’t leave without trying a Siam Martini - divine.

Community & Sustainability

The Sukosol Group, and Sukosol family (led by Khun Kamala Sukosol) in particular, have long been synonymous with charity work in the Land of Smiles and have raised millions over the years. The Siam remains committed to sustainability, supports the local community as part of its core operating strategy, and is proud to have eliminated all single use plastic bottles from the hotel.
