Komodo National Park | First Class
Island-hopping from the comfort and privacy of the traditional teak-wood schooner Warisan Komodo is an ideal way to explore the exceptional Komodo National Park. Comprising over 1200 square kilometres within the Grand Coral Triangle, this protected marine reserve is home to some fascinating flora and fauna, and small boats such as this are ideal for navigating the intricate network of channels.
This sleek 23-metre long vessel has two guest cabins: the Aura, a cosy quarters suitable for two adults or a small family, and the Solaria which is a romantic, bright space ideal for a couple. Canopies over the beds provide protection against mosquitos, and during the day these are tied back giving an attractive four-poster impression. The rooms are remarkably light given their relatively modest proportions, lifted by the inclusion of brightly coloured soft-furnishings, and each has an en-suite shower and toilet. Should you wish to, you can eschew the delights of your cabin and enjoy a magical night up on deck, sleeping under the stars.
Cruises range from one to five days and all include snorkeling, optional scuba diving and stop-offs at islands to encounter endemic wildlife, including the famous Komodo Dragons, fruit bats and rare birds. Hearty meals are prepared by the ship’s dedicated chef, which you can enjoy in the dining area or up on deck. When you aren’t diving into the tempting waters in search of marine life, you can relax on a sun-lounger with a cool drink and take in the beauty of the surrounding ocean.
We SaySailing through these spectacular waters in a private boat allows you to tailor your adventures to suit you.
