What to expect on the Jaipur walking tour
Accompanied by your expert local guide, you’ll stroll through the bustling streets of Jaipur’s ancient walled city, heading away from the tourist trail to explore the city like a local.
Jaipur has a long-held reputation for arts and crafts, and your walk will take you to the craft bazaar to see local artisans at work with gold, silver, gems and jewels, before you’re accompanied to a 150 year old townhouse for tea with the resident family in their beautiful drawing room.
You’ll have the opportunity to sample a range of India snacks and local sweets, before heading away to burn at least a few calories off as you explore a deserted haveli (historic mansion), where superb frescoes tell of the property’s lavish history.
Stroll through nearby markets, revelling in the riot of textiles, turbans, flowers and perfumes, and perhaps tucking into a little streetfood if you still have room!
