What to expect from a HCMC streetfood tour...

In many ways, Ho Chi Minh is a night-time city. The maze of tangled streets takes on an energy all of its own as twilight descends, but as a newly-arrived tourist it can be tricky to get into the thick of it. This trip will deliver you straight into the entrancing chaos of former Saigon after sunset, letting you live like a local, if just for a few unforgettable hours.

Street food is a massive part of Saigonese culture but the best spots are hidden away from the tourist hubs. Hopping on the back of a vintage Vespa with your experienced driver-guide, youll seek out the tastiest local recipes and the best streetfood stalls that Ho Chi Minh has to offer. Along the way, youll try everything from sizzling beef wraps to steaming noodle soups with seafood and lemongrass. Not only this, but youll meet some brilliant local characters as you pass through.

Nipping through the backstreets, you’ll watch street life unfold around you and get a glimpse of behind-the-scenes city life. There’s something strangely hypnotic about racing through the buzzing metropolis, the breeze whipping about your face and all kinds of heady, exotic smells rising from the makeshift kitchens that line the ramshackle pavement. There really is no better way to see former Saigon after dark.

In addition to authentic street fare, you’ll stop to try typical Vietnamese coffee, steaming and thick with sweet condensed milk. Later, you’ll pull up a plastic sidewalk chair, grab an ice cold beer and watch the world go by before wrapping up your evening at a Vietnamese nightclub, with live music and a bunch of friendly locals. It’s a night out like no other, and an evening that you won’t forget in a hurry.
