Hotel Granvia Hiroshima

Hiroshima | Superior

Hotel Granvia is a well-known hotel chain in Japan; their properties are all conveniently connected to city train stations, so you can step off the platform and into the hotel lobby (well, nearly). With rail travel being by far the easiest way to traverse the country, you can immediately see the hotel’s appeal. A 10 minute tram ride will take you to the city’s Peace Memorial Park.

Western style guest rooms are comfortably furnished and reasonably sized, although it’s worth upgrading to a Superior or Granvia room which, in addition to more space, offers upgraded amenities such as a coffee machine and sought-after views from their location on the 19th & 20th floors.

When it comes to dining, you’re spoilt for choice in Hiroshima (don’t leave without sampling okonomiyaki), but if you choose to dine within the hotel there’s an impressive choice of Japanese, Chinese and Western restaurants to pick from, including the ubiquitous SkyBar & Restaurant that offers panoramic city views and a rooftop beer terrace that opens during the summer months.
