Amankora Punakha

Punakha

The luxurious Amankora Punakha is great fun to get to - cross a suspension bridge over the Mo Chhu River and then take an uphill tuk-tuk ride to the lodge.

The carved wood interior and overhanging roof echo traditional architecture, while the rooms’ cosy armchairs and window seats look so inviting under the flickering light of their bukhari stove. A range of blissful treatments are available at the onsite spa, or there are dedicated yoga/meditation spaces and a calming library and lounge bar.

Leisure: spa, steam room, yoga, meditation, private treatment rooms, tea terrace, garden

Rooms: 8 suites
