Ramada Hotels, one of the world’s most recognisable hotel brands, are the first international chain to open a property in the historic city of Jeonju. Whilst it can’t lay claim to being the most characterful place to stay in Jeonju it certainly boasts an unbeatable location, within walking distance of the Hanok Maeul, and comfortable, well equipped accommodation.
Room interiors are contemporary in style, furnished in neutral colours and equipped with modern facilities that befit an international brand hotel. Traditional Ondol-style rooms, in which the western bed is replaced with a futon also benefit from a touch of modernity in the form of flat screen TV’s. Most rooms offer views across the city. The suites are double the size of the rooms, offering extra space for those travelling with children.
Facilities include a good sized gym, pleasant rooftop ‘lounge’ with city views and an all-day dining restaurant, although Jeonju has a vibrant foodie scene and there are plenty of eateries on the Ramada’s doorstep.
