Philippines weather & when to go: April
April overview
The dry season reaches its climax during April in the Philippines. Temperatures continue to rise and highs of 33°C are not uncommon, especially in Manila and the southern islands. Humidity levels are also at their peak during April.
April's weather in detail
April is understandably a popular time of year to visit the coastal beach resorts of El Nido, Boracay, Mactan and Siargao, as visitors make the most of hot, sunny days and blue skies. It is also peak diving season, with probably the best visibility of the year.
If you prefer things a little cooler, escape to northern Luzon where temperatures are more bearable, although you'll still want to find some shade at midday. April is a good time of year for exploring the rice terraces of Banaue and the city of Baguio, which is often referred to as the 'Summer Capital'.
