The Pavilions Himalaya Lake View
Reached by paddle-boat over Phewa Lake or a trek through the mountains, The Pavilions Himalaya Lake View offers cosy glamour in the midst of some of the world’s most trekkable landscape.
The resort’s eight hexagonal villas sit by the lake, with enormous panoramic windows overlooking the water, the countryside, and the Himalayan range beyond. Their unusual shape means that four of the eight walls can be made of glass (allowing for superb views from your bed!) while the rest are solid wood, for privacy.
Decor is simple but cosy, and colours reflect the nature outdoors - green and orange velvet daybeds are set against the dark wood, and golden birds decorate the walls. Some of the villas have standalone bathtubs with mountain views, and bathrooms are equipped with golden sinks and huge mirrors, further reflecting the beautiful light. Every villa sits on its own wooden platform, creating a dedicated outdoor space with an alfresco dining area.
When you’re not out exploring the landscape, dine on Nepalese and international dishes carefully prepared using ingredients grown on the organic farm at a nearby sister resort, or relax with a traditional massage.
Note that jeep transfers are also available if the boat or trek are simply not feasible.
