A real gem of a property, the beautifully-restored Elephant Stables hotel - originally home to Kandy’s first elected mayor - sits perched on the hillside with wide-reaching views over the ancient capital and surrounding countryside.
The accommodation ranges from bright, cosy rooms in the main building, to the palatial Royal tented suite on the lawn. No alcohol is served at this hotel, but it does offer some of the very best food we've tasted in Kandy.
