Expect a few rainy days in October, although rainfall decreases as the month progresses, with the dry season just around the corner. Days are warm, with average temperatures in the region of 27°C.
With water levels at their peak, following months of rain, October is a good time of year to visit the flooded forests and floating villages of Tonle Sap Lake, which swells to more than 5 times its size. Those exploring the north east regions of Ratanakiri & Mondulkiri will be rewarded with sights of full flowing waterfalls.
On the south coast, in Sihanoukville and Kep, rain is still a possibility although showers will become less frequent and long periods of sunshine can be expected as you head towards November and the start of the dry season.
