The rains continue throughout July, although dry days are still common. Temperatures are gradually dropping, making the days more comfortable, with average temperatures around 27°C.
Avoid the short, heavy showers and you will find that this is still a good month to be in Cambodia although rainfall tends to increase towards the end of the month. Thunder storms can also break out infrequently and make for some spectacular views, especially at the Angkor Temples!
On the south coast beaches of Sihanoukville and Kep, and in more rural regions, such as Ratanakiri, rainfall can be heavier and more prolonged although dry days can still be expected. Wet weather puts Cambodia's south coast beaches off the radar in July, however, the beaches of central Vietnam are at their best at this time and are easily tagged onto a Cambodia tour.
