Opened in 2009, the Anggun is one of a new breed of boutique-style first class hotels in Kuala Lumpur, and one that we welcome with open arms! The location is brilliant, within walking distance of the vibrant Bukit Bintang district, home to the best shopping, restaurants and street-food stalls to be found in the city.
The hotel has been painstakingly restored from two 1920s town houses, combining locally salvaged materials and designs sourced from nearby Chinese, Malay and Peranakan buildings. The rooms, each set around a light atrium, are tastefully furnished using hand-made furniture and artwork, all combined with modern amenities such as wi-fi. There is a popular rooftop bar and restaurant, serving an array of excellent Asian cuisine.
