Villa Samadhi

Kuala Lumpur

KL is awash with fine hotels and Villa Samadhi sits well within this mix. A small and intensely private property that offers a strong alternative to the larger branded city hotels. Each ‘crib’ and ‘sarang’ is unique in size and character, and the teak walls and floors provide a distinctly Malaysian flavour. The top floor Loft is particularly special, with its own plunge pool and views towards the Petronas Towers.

The property’s intimate restaurant offers a menu of Malay and Italian dishes; the breakfast is well worth getting up for! When you’re not sightseeing and shopping, you can while away hours simply lazing in a cabana beside the lagoon-style pool. Come sunset, head to the rooftop bar and enjoy views over the city.

Location

In a quiet, upmarket part of town, close to the Royal Selangor Golf Club and a host of embassies. There aren’t any nightclubs or noisy bars nearby, but the city’s nightlife is just 15 minutes away.

From a client…

Villa Samadhi lived up to its hype. It was a lovely place to arrive at. In hindsight, we might have had an extra day there to enjoy the pool area a bit more.

Why we love it

Discover what to expect from staying at Villa Samadhi

A city oasis

The dedicated staff take customer satisfaction seriously. The result is an exceptional experience. It’s quite unusual in the scheme of city hotels, as it almost feels like arriving in somebody’s private, albeit tropical, city home. The high surrounding walls and foliage add to the exclusive feel. It’s an oasis in a city that can be noisy, congested and tiring; a place to relax and gather your thoughts. Adding a few days here, to stretch your city stay and get over any latent jet lag, is just the ticket.

What can you do there?

The best way to enjoy Villa Samadhi is to find a nice spot by the pool and relax. Honestly, it isn’t hard work, but when you get restless you might go for a massage at the spa. Part of a small collection of high-end hotels and restaurants in Malaysia and Singapore, the Villa Samadhi has been hosting Selective Asia guests since it opened and is a firm favourite in the office and among our clients.
