A simply superb location; set amongst paddy fields as far as the eye can see, yet just three hours by car from Hanoi, the Mai Chau valley is a true escape from the congestion of the hectic city streets.
The lodge offers a good standard of facilities, including a pool and sauna (very welcome after a day’s walking or cycling!) as well as a lakeside restaurant serving up some excellent Vietnamese food. Guest rooms are a very good size, most with lake or rice paddy views, and are furnished using local fabrics.
