The original Sala Done Khone is a stone-built former French dispensary, located on picturesque Khone Island. In addition to the original building, several timber outbuildings have been added to increase room availability and there is a charming restaurant overhanging the Mekong River.
Both the lodge and the Ban Lao Classic rooms have been expanded and upgraded with a more stylish decor introduced in addition to improved amenities. The comfortable rooms remain very much in keeping with the laid-back surroundings, and the restaurant serves fine Laotian cuisine.
