Surrounded by rice fields on the western banks of the Nam Song River, Vieng Tara enjoys a peaceful, natural setting away from the town’s busier strip, which is only a 10 minute walk away, accessible via a footbridge over the river.
Wooden walkways sitting above the paddies link the thatched roof buildings that make up the property. Guest room décor is simple yet warming and comfortable: wooden floors and low wooden beds, furnished with white linen and Lao textiles. For Selective Asia guests we only book the Villas that boast spacious terraces with views towards the mountains. The restaurant also sits over the fields, enjoying picturesque views and offers an Asian menu. It’s a tranquil, atmospheric spot for dinner.
