Chill out on Rabbit Island
Koh Tonsay, or Rabbit Island as it is commonly known, lies just off the coast of the enigmatic seaside town of Kep. Those that make the 30 minute boat trip are rewarded with a day on one of Cambodia’s most picturesque and unspoilt beaches: a world away from the packed sands of Sihanoukville.
Just seven fishing families live on the small island, each having now developed a few backpacker-friendly huts and restaurants, making an overnight stay an option. We can also arrange camping on the beach itself, enhancing the Robinson Crusoe-style experience even further.
There is great snorkelling along either flank of the beach, with masks available for hire on the island. During your stay, be sure to try the local seafood specialities including pepper crab (made famous by Rick Stein on his recent South-East Asia food series).

‘ello, ‘ello, ‘ello
Strangely, Rabbit Island has its own police station. Often unmanned and the only concrete structure on the island!
