All monkeys welcome!
Parenthood does change your life, but the mums and dads in our team have discovered (to their endless relief) that travelling with children needn’t stop anyone from enjoying holidays in far-flung destinations like Asia.
Some countries are more easily adapted to little kids than others - Laos, Thailand and Vietnam spring to mind, with their well-established infrastructure, family-friendly animal encounters, colourful cookery workshops, and hundreds of clean sandy beaches.
More exotic or emerging destinations like Borneo, Indonesia, Myanmar and Sri Lanka are perhaps better suited to older children who are ready to appreciate world-class wildlife on National Park safaris, watch by torchlight as baby sea turtles hatch on pristine beaches, explore thriving reefs on PADI accredited dives, or kayak and cycle through the tropical landscape.
This is your chance to share with your kids those aspects of Asia that you love so much - it's a superb chance to bond.
And wherever you go, you'll find welcoming locals with kids of their own, usually eager to engage with their new playmates. Asia might be far from home, but your family can definitely feel at home there.
