Tucked into a quiet alley just minutes from Barkhor Bazaar and Jokhang Temple, House of Shambhala occupies a restored Tibetan courtyard home. The interiors feature natural wood, raised Chinese‑style beds and colourful heritage-painted walls. Upper‑floor rooms offer rooftop views across prayer-flag‑draped rooftops in the old town.

You’ll start your day with Tibetan breakfast in the courtyard, then wander to Potala Palace or peek into Jokhang Temple nearby. The rooftop terrace is ideal for sipping tea or soaking in views over Lhasa’s old quarter and its mountain backdrop.
