February overview
With average daily temperatures ranging between 16-21°C in Taipei, and 23-25°C in Kenting and the tropical south, it's no surprise that February is a popular month of the year to visit Taiwan. You can travel across the country, however if you are keen to avoid chances of rain then avoid the north east coast.

There was once a folk belief that celestial spirits could be seen flying in the light of the first full moon of the lunar year. Their search evolved into the modern festival, which sees colourful lanterns being carried and amassed at temples and in parks throughout Taiwan.
