The Landis

Taipei | First Class

There’s an agreeable atmosphere of classic European luxury to The Landis, with its Art Deco styling and between-the-wars Paris interiors. Of course, it's all contained within a relatively modern Taiwanese multi-storey block, but the doormen in top hats and waitresses in French maid uniforms all add to the illusion. Step outside, and you’re conveniently located in Taipei’s central business district, with the Confucius’ Temple close by.

Comfortable and contemporary rooms are graced with touches of luxury, such as the designer marble bathrooms and slick modern technology. The Superior rooms are a good size for a city hotel, but it’s worth considering an upgrade to a Deluxe room which is almost twice the size with plenty of space to spread out.

Not surprisingly there are Francophile dining options within the hotel, but don’t overlook the hotel's sole representative of Eastern cuisine, the Tien Hsiang Lo restaurant. Their signature Slowly Braised Pork “Don Po” style is mouthwatering. Also worthy of note is the hotel’s day spa which offers a welcome respite from the busy city below.

We Say
Immaculate service and classic hospitality.
