Located on an idyllic plateau in the midst of towering mountains, the Leader Village is a sustainable eco-retreat that offers easy access to all the natural splendour of the Taroko National Park, and accommodation that echoes the Taroko aboriginal culture. The resort comprises of individual, eco-friendly wooden cabins based on a traditional Tang Dynasty design – but the Leader Village’s links with nature and the environment do not stop there, as the local aboriginal community are fully engaged with the venture.
Accommodation is very comfortable with modern amenities, though the real USP is the amazing hand-made tribal art, textile lamps and paintings that adorn every cabin. Exotic frogs, colourful butterflies, abundant birdlife and even flying squirrels can be seen among the rainforest trees – and then its back to the resort for a dinner of traditional aboriginal dishes prepared using locally sourced ingredients.
We SayThe perfect escape into a natural wonderland, offering a genuine taste of indigenous culture along with full access to modern comforts.
