With a whimsical name designed to evoke the idea of a couple falling in love, sailing away to a tropical island and dancing in the moonlight, The Owl and the Pussycat Hotel certainly stands out from the Galle crowd.

Split between four colourful buildings, the suites are scattered with handmade furniture, jewel-bright textiles, and art collected from all over the world. The effect is vibrant but homely, and undeniably relaxing; an eclectic beach idyll.

We had had several discussions with Andrew, our agent, before booking the trip and he incorporated all the activities we were interested in plus recommending other activities that he knew we would be interested in.
