On Sri Lanka’s wild northwest coast, this low-key retreat blends kitesurf energy with barefoot calm. Set between lagoon and ocean in Kalpitiya, Club Mango keeps things informal and open to the elements. Rooms are simple and airy, arranged around sandy pathways and palm trees, with the constant breeze never far away.

The focus here is outdoors — kitesurfing in season, dolphin excursions offshore, and slow evenings watching the lagoon change colour. It’s not polished, but that’s part of the charm: active days, salty skin, and plenty of space to unwind.
