Local food
Whilst Tiger Mountain Lodge doesn’t offer the endless facilities and hi-tech room amenities of a typical top-end hotel, the quality of food and attentive service levels earn the property a luxury label. Locally grown fruit and vegetables are combined in a variety of dishes including international favourites and traditional Nepali feasts. Enjoy Nepalese honey and fresh baked bread for breakfast, curry buffets with homemade chutneys at lunchtime, and leisurely afternoon tea served with Nepali Ilam infusions in the main lodge or on your private veranda.
What can you do there?
Take guided walks through the forest to local villages, or head further afield to nearby rivers and lakes for a little birdwatching. After a full day’s hiking, return to the lodge for a massage or settle down in the library to browse through the book collection of the famous Colonel Jimmy Roberts, one of the pioneers of Nepal’s mountaineering industry.
