Perched at 2,175 metres, Nagarkot Community Homestay offers a genuine taste of rural Nepal. Staying with the Bastola family, you’ll engage in daily activities like crafting traditional Tapari leaf plates and Batti oil lamps, all while enjoying sweeping views of the Himalayas.

Mornings begin with yoga sessions overlooking the mountains, followed by explorations of nearby forests, waterfalls, and the rich cultural heritage of Bhaktapur. Evenings are spent sharing home-cooked meals, fostering a deep connection with the local way of life.

We had had several discussions with Andrew, our agent, before booking the trip and he incorporated all the activities we were interested in plus recommending other activities that he knew we would be interested in. Much of our trip was self guided and SA provide an excellent app to help with this. It was intuitive, easy to use and had the option to be able to contact someone locally if necessary.
