RV Zawgyi Pandaw

Upper Ayeyarwady | Deluxe

The RV Zawgyi Pandaw is one of Pandaw’s newest boats, built in 2014 to the highest quality and specifications you find on all Pandaw vessels. Designed in keeping with the Colonial river cruisers – think classy and old-fashioned - the air-conditioned cabins are lined in polished teak with classic brass fittings and French windows that offer fantastic views of the river and countryside beyond.

The on-board ambiance is relaxed and sociable, and the high crew to passenger ratio means that life on board is similar to spending time on a private yacht. The high quality dining adds to the luxurious experience.

The RV Zawgyi Pandaw operates on the upper section of the Ayeyarwady River: travelling between Mandalay and Bhamo – the most northerly point on the Ayeyarwady, close to the Chinese border. This journey travels into more remote areas of Myanmar, thanks to the boat’s shallow draft, passing through three spectacular towering gorges and also stopping en-route at Katha, once home to George Orwell. Daily guided shore excursions offer the opportunity to experience local life and explore the local countryside.

As with most Pandaw cruises, there are no hidden extras when it comes to price: the cruise includes all meals and drinks (apart from wine & imported spirits), shore excursions and tips for the crew.
