Pindaya Inle Inn
Pindaya | First Class
Pindaya’s charming Inle Resort is a cluster of wicker bungalows and brick-built chalets. Each accommodation style has its advantages, and both have equal charm.
The hotel itself is set around some well kept vegetable gardens, whose bounty you can enjoy, when in season. The restaurant is bright and atmospheric, with a complete wall of glass, which leads out onto an open air dining terrace, and provides somewhat distorted views of the lake.
The bungalows have a rustic charm - in fact some of the newer bamboo huts are brick built on the exterior, offering a welcome layer of insulation during the cold winter months. The chalets are also made of sturdier stuff, and each one also benefits from a working open fireplace. The décor is simple and natural, local woods combined with traditional textiles.
We SayIf it’s available, and you’re after a chalet, they offer a superb two-storey one complete with wrap-round balcony at no extra cost. Cue Heidi from the Alps!
