June's weather in detail
June is humid and wet throughout Laos. Generally speaking, the rainfall is heavier the higher you are; with the riverside towns south of Vientiane experiencing the least rain. The return of the rains means the countryside is becoming more lush and green, especially around Vang Vieng, and the impressive waterfalls in the 4000 Islands come to life again.
Average temperatures hover around 25-27°C, with Pakse and the southern regions experiencing warmer temperatures than Luang Prabang and Vientiane, and slightly cooler conditions in Phongsali in the north. Humidity levels in June edge up to 80%.
