Location, location, location…
This resort is all about making the most of the ‘where’: putting the wild Rajasthan landscape centre stage and giving guests a front row seat. On the fringes of the Sariska Tiger Reserve, it’s almost compulsory to take a safari into the protected haven to catch sight of some of the region’s extraordinary wildlife. Keep an eye out for hyenas, deer, wild boar, leopards, and even the tracks that show when tigers have been roaming nearby. Trek through nearby trails in the company of an expert naturalist, watch the trees for a myriad bird species coming in to roost, and hike high into the hills to look out over the landscape.
Style with substance
The beautifully designed spaces at Utsav prove that you can have an elegant and contemporary resort with a true eye to responsible tourism. The placement of the bungalows has been carefully thought out so as not to disturb the trees, which shelter elegantly between the structures, co-existing. Sustainable practice is at the heart of the operation, with everything from staff travel to produce and ingredients following a low-mileage model. Many of the fruits and vegetables for the resort’s dining are sourced from their own pesticide- and chemical-free garden, and manure from the resident dairy herd nourishes the land.
