The Upper House

Hong Kong | Deluxe

Renowned Asian architect Andre Fu wanted to create a ‘haven of calm and quiet taste’ when he set about designing The Upper House. Set atop the revamped Pacific Place mall, in the heart of Hong Kong Island it oozes style and serenity amidst the chaos. This boutique property is more of a luxurious home-from-home than a hotel, with an emphasis on discreet, personalised service and attention to detail.

The 117 studios and suites are arguably the largest in Hong Kong, boasting floor to ceiling windows, even in the bathroom where you can relax in the giant marble bathtub and gaze out at the city skyline. Room amenities include a ‘maxi-bar’ full of complimentary sweet treats & drinks and an interactive iPod touch packed with local tips and recommendations. The Studios face inland towards the Peak; whilst the Suites overlook the harbour.

Escape the city in the hotel’s secluded ‘garden’: a grassy lawn complete with large bean bags and shaded spots. If you’re staying over a weekend join one of the complimentary morning yoga classes on the lawn. Don’t miss dinner at the hotel’s acclaimed Café Gray Deluxe restaurant. Located on level 49 you can enjoy views as memorable as your meal. This is one of Hong Kong’s hot spots so advance booking is highly recommended.
