Multi-destination Asia Holidays
Travelling in any Asian country is a pleasure, but, if you have enough time, combining more than one destination on your Asian holiday is even more enjoyable.
Asia is an incredibly diverse continent, rich in culture, adventure, relaxation and beauty. And, whilst all the Asian countries have their strengths and key selling points, it is not just the contrasts that make travelling on a multi-country itinerary such a fascinating experience.
The similarities can take your breath away, too. Many of our guests choose to visit more than one destination while travelling with Selective Asia - the proximity of countries makes combining them relatively easy. In addition to researching each country individually, we suggest taking a look through some of our more popular multi-country Asia holiday itineraries, which can be found in this section.
These have been created to give you an idea of what is realistic in any given period of time, and to help you decide which combination is most suitable for you. With so many potential combinations, however, it’s quite possible that you won’t find exactly what you’re looking for. If that’s the case, we recommend contacting a Selective Asia consultant to take advantage of our free tailor-made holiday planning service.
We can advise you on how best to combine your destination ‘wish list’ and pace your trip, where to cross borders (and suggest imaginative ways to do so), and any visa restrictions you may encounter. Our tailor-made Asia holiday specialists have travelled extensively throughout the region, researching the best hotels, sites and activities. Give them a call if you need any help, advice or assistance with planning your holiday, whether it’s to one destination or several.

The joy of combining destinations
La grande journée
We can describe many great journeys across Asia, but our company's own story started in what is sometimes called 'Indochina'. Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam of course have their own distinct flavours, cultures and rivalries. But the three neighbours are bound by the 2,703 mile long Mekong River which flows through each country - and by a twentieth century conflict whose impact is still felt across the region.
There are some combinations, classics if you will, that many of us will know about. Thailand and Myanmar, Singapore and Borneo, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Two pea's in a pod each of them. However at Selective HQ, we love nothing more than seeking out the less obvious, like Messner and Habeler cutting new routes on Everest in the 50's. OK, maybe that's over cooking it, however there is no doubt that there's some innovative thinking going on. Andrew's latest is a Japan & Maldives classic in the waiting, whilst Nick is flying the flag of a Tibet and Mongolia duo.
Maximise your experience, minimise your impact
The reality of enjoying our holidays is that most people will have to fly to and from their chosen destination. Along with being focused on keeping our carbon footprint to a minimum by cutting out domestic flights where possible, travelling overland instead; we're also keen advocates to combining several countries. Not only do you get to explore several cultures (and enjoy even more incredible food), nothing quite beats crossing into a new country by land or sea. It beats a 3 hour check-in any day.
Perfect straight ‘off the peg’ or as a source of inspiration allowing us to start with blank canvas. You decide
The Selective difference
With us, you are taken care of from enquiry until your reluctant homecoming. Your holiday is designed by a specialist who knows your destination first-hand. Throughout your travels, you'll have expert personal guides where requested & our full logistical support. And, it goes without saying, we'll be waiting to hear all about it once you're home.
Our Brighton-based Destination Specialists spend each day working closely with colleagues and partners across Asia. This ensures we stay several steps ahead when designing inspiring holidays, staying up to date and overcoming obstacles, which means your holiday will be crafted using both local and international expertise.
The welfare of our destinations and their communities is incredibly important to us. We are focused on ensuring that your money makes a positive impact, as often as possible, by supporting communities and wildlife conservation through dedicated initiatives and by very carefully choosing our partners in Asia.
We may be partial to the occasional bad pun, but we don’t joke around when it comes to designing first class travel experiences. Over 90% of our clients rate us 5/5 after their holiday, and we're not ashamed to crack a proud grin on behalf of our award-winning teams in the UK and Asia.
We know your time is precious, before and during your trip. We want you to have a smooth and relaxing experience so that your main concern on holiday will be whether to order noodles or rice. There will be no hidden extras, and your holiday will be orchestrated seamlessly by your Destination Specialist plus our local guides and behind-the-scenes crews in your destination.
