Vietnam is now one of the leading holiday destinations in South East Asia, and is fast becoming a world force in providing luxury holidays of the highest standard. Thanks to the softenening of economic restrictions in recent years, there have been a number of incredibly succesful joint Vietnamese-foreign hotel and resort developments that have helped lead the way in the Vietnam luxury holiday market. This in turn has lead to further developments, often by solely Vietnamese businessmen, which have been helped push the bar even higher.
So what does Vietnam have to offer the luxury traveller?
Aside from an excellent infrastructure, a welcoming smile and the immense beauty and cultural diversity of Vietnam itself, there are the resorts. Vietnam now has two super deluxe resorts, a figure that is set to double in the next two years. Every major town has one or several deluxe ( 5 *) hotels and along the country’s 2000km’s + of coastline the number of 5* resorts is increasing steadliy. Thanks to the immense length of the coastline only in a few places have the resorts or hotels become congested, unlike it’s neighbour Thailand where you can’t seem to find an empty patch of sand for love nor money these days.
Two of Vietnam's luxury resorts in focus
You can’t ignore the Nam Hai!
Whilst relatively new to the scene, the hotel is simply breath-taking. Located on a beautiful stretch of China Beach and facing onto the South China Sea, the resort is everything we have come to expect of the world's very finest super deluxe resorts. If you want luxury and style, the Nam Hai has got bags of it. See more of the Nam Hai
The Six Senses Hideaway Ninh Van Bay
Whilst we aren’t Nha Trang’s biggest fans, we do love the Six Senses. Comfortably far enough from the main resort town and only accessible by private boat, Ninh Van Bay is an absolute delight. The rustic-style resort ensures a peaceful and relaxing experience whilst the world renowned Six Senses Spa guarantees that life’s stresses do not return to the mainland with you.
