Communications

Mobile

Mobile phones are used widely throughout Vietnam and reception is good when in medium to large urban areas.

Email and Internet

Widely available when travelling in Vietnam. You will get access in all major towns and cities as well as some of the smaller tourist destinations. An hour on an ADSL connection will cost approx $1.

Post

Post is available throughout Vietnam. If you are sending any packages or parcels they will be unpacked in front of you and repacked in a more ‘acceptable’ way!

Electricity Connections

You will require a universal adapter for any electrical appliances you are carrying whilst travelling in Vietnam. Service is generally very good although power cuts do occur, especially during monsoon season, usually for just a short period of time.
