Is an entry visa required for Laos?
Yes. Citizens of the UK, EU countries, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States and almost all other nationalities will require a visa to visit Laos.

Laos does not have an embassy or consular office in the UK.
Can the visa be arranged on arrival?
Yes. You can obtain the visa on arrival; at all international airports or at your land border crossing.
What is required to arrange the visa? $35 (UK passport holders) to be paid in good condition USD notes and 2 up-to-date passport photos of a good likeness.
You will need one clear page (per visa) in a full passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of your departure from Laos.
How long is a visa valid for?
The standard tourist visa is a single entry visa that allows you to travel in Laos for 30 days from the date of your entry.
