Cambodia Visa Overview
Is an entry visa required for Cambodia?
Yes. Citizens of the UK, EU countries, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States and almost all other nationalities will require a visa to visit Cambodia.
Non-UK residents should check with the Cambodian Embassy in their country of residence for the most up-to-date information.
Can the visa be arranged on arrival?
Yes, although it can also be obtained in advance.
- If you are arriving in Cambodia by air, you can obtain your visa in advance of departure with the easy to use online e-visa service (see below). Alternatively most nationalities can obtain their visa on arrival at either Siem Reap or Phnom Penh Airports.
- If you are arriving in Cambodia at a land border you must obtain your visa at your arrival point.
What is required to arrange the visa?
- Online e-visa service: $25 (USD) payment to be made by credit or debit card, a scanned up-to-date photo of a good likeness (similar to passport photo style).
- Upon arrival at the airport or at a land border: $20 to be paid in good condition USD notes and 2 up-to-date passport photos of a good likeness.
You will need one clear page (per visa) in a full passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of your departure from Cambodia.
How long is a visa valid for?
The standard tourist visa is a single entry visa that allows you to travel in Cambodia for 30 days from the date of your proposed entry.
Whilst there is a Cambodian Embassy in the UK (64 Brondesbury Park, Willesden Green London NW6 7AT), by far the simplest way of obtaining your visa in advance is through the e-visa service.
The e-visa explained:
You can apply for your visa online if you are arriving in Cambodia at Siem Reap or Phnom Penh Airports. The visa is valid for three months from the date of issue and for a total visit of no more than 30 days.
The e-visa is a simple to use service and will save time queuing at the airport after a long flight.
