Which type of visa should I get

Ideally the package tour visa.

  • By doing so, you will not have to prove that you are arriving in country with any amount of currency, nor at certain times will you be required to change this into local currency. We will provide you with the necessary paperwork to obtain this type of visa.
  • The standard visa is issued within 5 working days, ideally leave at least 2 weeks to avoid any problems, especially if you are posting your passport to the embassy or they are returning it by post. In each case be sure to use special/recorded delivery rather than standard post.

How much does it cost & what is required?

  • £14.00 cash (UK) , elsewhere the cost will vary. There is an excess charge of £6.00 per person if you wish to have your passport returned by special delivery (UK). If you send your passport to the embassy by post you must pay by postal order (payable to Myanmar Embassy).
  • You must complete the visa application form and provide 2 up-to-date passport photos. To obtain the package tour visa you will also require a letter from us. This will be provided approximatly two months before your departure.

You will need one clear page (per visa) in a full passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of your return from Burma.

How long is a visa valid for?

The standard tourist visa is a single entry visa that allows you to travel in Burma for 28 days from the date of your proposed entry.
