Next stop is the lush rural Kanchananburi region, visiting elephant sanctuaries and WW2 sites. Of course, no visit to Thailand is complete without a few days on the sand, in which case we recommend Hua Hin and its surrounding beaches, although this can easily be exchanged for an alternative destination.
