Give a little back

Take the opportunity to give a little back during your holiday in Laos by teaching some English classes in a remote village, 30 km from Luang Prabang. Founded by the inspirational Mr Ken, a 19 year old resident of the cultural capital, the Community Reading Room project is based at a UNICEF funded school and provides foreign visitors with the chance to teach English to a group of eager primary school children.

The children would otherwise rarely have contact with foreigners and therefore your visit and input will genuinely help improve their English skills and future employment prospects.

Day visits to the school are possible, or alternatively you can stay at the village for a number of nights.
