Set on the banks of the Mekong River close to the centre of the atmospheric town of Pakbeng, the Pakbeng Lodge provides comfortable accommodation for those breaking the journey between border town of Huay Xai and the former royal capital of Luang Prabang.
The lodge is built in a traditional Lao style, combining simple but elegant furnishings and rich wood floors. Rooms are well sized, each with a private balcony offering panoramic views of the Mekong River. The open sided restaurant serves excellent Lao and western food and there is a bar offering, what is for many, a first taste of the excellent Beer Lao!
