Le Bel Aire really does offer the best of both worlds; a great location, just a few minutes by foot from many of the city's wats and palaces, whilst retaining some much appreciated space and solitude. Nestled on the far banks of the Nam Khan River, just a few minutes walk from Luang Prabang's Old Town(thanks to the conveniently located bridge), the hotel even provides some limited fishing equipment for those wanting to catch their own dinner!
Large gardens, often tended by monks from the nearby monastery, slope down to the riverbank and a very pleasant terrace offers great views accross to the Old Town. There are a range of rooms and bungalows, all with views of the gardens and some with river-view as well. Rooms are spacious and bright with a quirky but traditional Lao finish. The bungalows are slightly more modern, although still very classical and stylish, with several offering great views of Mount Phousi.
