The Kiulu 4 Mile Bamboo Rafting Challenge
Sabah is home to some serious extreme rafting and adventurous fun today! An indigenous eco-sporting event, the Kiulu 4 Mile Challenge is a race which incorporates four survival skills and traditional sports practiced by the Kadazandusun community. Participants will be pushed to the limit while battling it out during the Manang’kus (running), Mamang’kar (bamboo rafting down the Grade II Kiulu River), Manam’patau (paddle-swimming with a bamboo pole) and Ma-ma-ram-panau (bamboo-stilt walking) contests.
