Another Anantara resort, another awe-inspiring property. Recently refurbished and upgraded, it is set in huge grounds, on the banks of the Mekong River and in the most remote of locations (overlooking Laos and Myanmar no less) – just an hour out of Chiang Rai but you could be on another planet. The luxurious accommodation has been created making full use of the natural materials to be found within the immediate vicinity, and the finish is distinctly Thai. Facilities are extraordinary given its location and even include its very own elephant camp!
